dearest elljay friends. as some of you know, i have been perpetually about three chapters away from finishing my novel, eating the cracker. in order to give myself a big kick in the ass, i am posting one chapter per week here. i am soliciting editing help, cheerful and grumpy readers, grammarians, finders of plot holes, etc. do not worry about being nice.
